Mobilhome Rentals Portugal

The excellent climate of the Algarve, a source of well-being, calm and relaxation and the little fishing villages like Santa Luzia and Sagres make this region the ideal destination for your holidays.

Algarve has fine golden sand beaches, large and small, with calm or choppy water, with waves or without. There are deserted beaches and very busy ones, but the sea and the weather are always beautiful. And there is golf all year long, on some of the best golf courses in Europe.

Lagos is an old seaport, to the north of the Algarve Lagos is located approximately 35 km to the east of the cape of Sagres, the south west edge of Europe. Located at the north of Lagos, the Vila Nova de Milfontes and Sines roads wind through the slopes of the South-west's natural reserve.

GASTRONOMY

The gastronomy of the Algarve is very rich in tradition, and in Faro you can find the majority of the dishes of this magnificent region. The ingredients come from the region and reflect the fresh tastes of the sea and the strong, pleasant flavours of the countryside.

Algarve is fortunate compared with the other regions in that it has a climate that is both 'Mediterranean' or moderate (on the western side) and subtropical. Algarve is the largest producer of citrus fruits, as well as almonds and figs, in Portugal. It also produces olive oil, carobs (mainly for cattle), and has a great diversity of fruit and vegetables, most of which are entirely organic (if you go to the popular markets, you can find fruit and vegetables from Serra de Monchique).

As for seafood, Algarve is the most special place because not only does it have a great diversity of fish coming from the Atlantic, but also a large wealth of crabs, shrimps, crayfish, clams, wedge shells, winkles and many other molluscs and shellfish due to the Ria Formosa.
